That question has been rolling around in my mind lately. There are so many ways we feel stuck and sometimes we don’t even recognize that we are, stuck that is. Do you dread going to work? Do you resist doing THE thing that will get you closer to your weight goal? Do you find yourself thinking the same things over and over about what you would like to be different in your life? Do you wonder what else you might do in your life? Do you crave more satisfaction or peace or joy? If any of these questions sound familiar then you very well might be stuck in the same old, same old.
One of the ways to get movement is to recognize that you are stuck and then put words to what it is that you do want. Not, what you want to get rid of, but what do you want? We often don’t let ourselves even ponder what we want, much less dream about it and put words to it. Words have power and when we tell ourselves that we are stuck in our job, or that we won’t ever be the weight we want to be, or that dreams are for other people but not for me, then we perpetuate the space of stuck.
I have been trying to define my “target market” for my coaching business because all of the experts say you need a specific niche. I have struggled with it and bounced around from idea to idea only to come back to my same core space. Whether you have a business that you want to grow or have a specific weight you want to achieve or you have successes that seem out of reach they all have a common thread. We want to change and what we’re currently doing isn’t working and hasn’t worked for a long time – in other words we’re stuck!
Through my work with Life Purpose the past 20 years I have seen the incredible changes that happen when people feel empowered, when they get unstuck, and when they get movement. Even when we resist change we are looking for movement. We may simply be afraid or confused because we don’t know how it will look or what we need to do to have exactly what we want. The power of coaching comes from helping you clarify your direction and strategize your actions, all the while having a partner to help you be accountable and one who is solidly in your corner. If it’s time for you to get unstuck contact me at [email protected] and we’ll figure it out together.
